La Choza, nestled at 6245 White Horse Rd in Greenville, SC, is a hidden gem in the realm of Central American cuisine. This restaurant offers a refreshing escape from the mundane offerings of typical chain eateries, delighting patrons with a diverse menu that emphasizes authentic Honduran and Nicaraguan flavors. As M Phillips aptly notes, La Choza stands out with its “surprisingly delicious” fare, featuring plantains, fresh beef, and vibrant, crispy chips.
Customers rave about the warm hospitality and exceptional service, making every visit memorable. Cindy Cyr references the restaurant's famous soup, which draws many diners, while savoring the seasoned steak and chicken street tacos. Dinora GG, although pointing out some inconsistencies in meat preparation, appreciates the overall quality.
Isabel Toro emphasizes the home-cooked essence of the dishes, declaring it the perfect destination for those seeking delicious Mexican and Honduran meals. Likewise, Alejandro Menocal finds La Choza's Carne Asada Nica to be one of the most authentic representations of this dish available in the U.S. With generous portion sizes and flavorful offerings, La Choza is a must-visit for any food lover craving authentic Central American cuisine.

Consistently good food at reasonable prices. Despite typical strip mall digs, you won't find typical typical chain restaurant fare here - it's surprisingly delicious! A welcome break from the iceberg lettuce, bland rice and refried beans everywhere else. They have plantains, fresh beef, crisp chips, and quality service.

Apparently, they are known for their soup. Everyone was ordering it. Next time! Tried the steak and chicken street tacos. Great seasoning and big. Honduras enchiladas which wad more like tostadas. Delicious. The service was excellent.

Traditional place if you looking for real Honduran or Nicaraguan food. The Carne asada Nica was the closest I’ve had in the US. Also it is a lot of food!

Food was absolutely delicious, received it quickly and the staff were wonderful especially the beautiful waitresses. Even the girl dishwashing was beautiful. Had no problem with language, as I tried to speak some Spanish and they would speak English when I had difficulties. I've eaten there twice in the past week and will be going back again. The prices are are very reasonable as well.
